Fed: Jobs and building figures released today
CANBERRA, Jan 17 AAP - New figures out today are expected to show little change inAustralia's unemployment rate but will provide the government with its first economicinsight into the year ahead.
Along with the latest job figures, the Australian Bureau of Statistics will also releasebuilding activity figures today which will continue to be inflated by the government'sfirst-home buyers scheme.
While the official unemployment rate of 6.8 per cent is likely to vary little, EmploymentNational job vacancy rates released yesterday showed employer confidence was growing acrossthe country.
